Bath City Farm is a 37 acre community managed green space that provides a community service to all residents of Bath and North East Somerset. The farm is situated between the wards of Twerton and Whiteway in the south west of the city. Our mission is to build a caring, healthy and cohesive community through the involvement of local people - especially those who are disadvantaged in the development and maintenance of a productive green space, where they are able to learn about sustainable farming and food growing, acquire new skills and develop new friendships.
We provide a range of volunteering opportunities for people of all ages and abilities. Education is a key part of our work: we offer educational school visits and run adult courses in animal care, conservation and gardening. We have out of school and holiday activities for young people, as well as events and celebrations for the whole community. The farm also produces high quality local food such as meat, eggs and vegetables. All our meat is free range and reared to the highest welfare standards.
“My friends used to throw stones at the chickens but I won’t let them do it again.”

Come and see the latest developments at Bath City Farm!
'The Crater' is our new outdoor performance space situated in an old bomb crater. It has a 3x3 metre stage, enough seating for 60 adults and fantastic views.
Thank you to all those who helped launch our new performance space on 25th October. We counted over 300 people on the day and have already received fantastic feedback on the music, dance, poetry and storytelling.
'The Fort' is our new play space for toddlers including a sandpit area, fort and interactive water cascade. There will be additional elements added over the Winter - we always welcome your feedback. A big thank you to all our volunteers, BIFFA (who funded the project) and Touchwood Enterprises who were the main contractors for the work.
We are a registered charity and rely on donations for the upkeep of the farm. Please consider helping us by donating towards the cost of running the farm.
