Farm Reared Hogget Box

Description

Following the success of our lamb boxes earlier in the year, we are pleased to say we have a limited number of half-Hogget boxes available for pre-order.

Hogget is a more sustainable option over lamb at this time of year. All our animals enjoy a high level of welfare and care on the Farm and our hoggets have spent their whole lives outside.

Regarding taste, hogget has a more robust flavour that lamb, but gentler than mutton. This means it can hold up to bold and strong flavours without being overpowered. Hogget would work well in a tagine for example. It can be cooked like lamb. The larger cuts such as the shoulder and leg can be slow cooked, but the rest is tender enough to be served pink.
