Intro to Reducing your Waste Workshop – starting in the kitchen

Local friend of the farm and experienced home cook Deborah Steele will lead this practical workshop looking at ways to reduce waste of all kinds (food, water, energy, packaging), starting in the kitchen.  Come along ready to learn from each other and share your experience.  Go home ready to slim your waste, your bills, and make the most of what you already have.

Along the way we’ll be talking about how to:

*  use up almost everything

*  ways to avoid or use food ‘waste’

*  make more simple foods from scratch

*  transform how you shop for food

*  reduce your energy and water use

*  replace single use products with reusables (many of which you already have, or are easy to make at home).
