Meet the Animals – SEN friendly

Join our knowledgeable and experienced team to feed the animals and learn about them.

You will be able to feed our pigs, hand feed our sheep and pygmy goats, groom our ponies, have a cuddle with our baby pygmys, chicks and chickens and get to know our new alpacas.

The session will last an hour and is designed for children aged 5 or over accompanied by an adult with SEN needs.

You are welcome to bring children under 5 but please bring hand cleanser as we cannot be responsible for ensuring they clean their hands after touching animals. Some of the pens do have stinging nettles. Please ensure the children wear suitable clothing as we are a working farm, so wellies, water and as appropriate rainwear/sunhats and sunscreen are essential. The site is on a hill and the ground can be uneven. Please give us a call to chat over any accessibility needs you may have. We will take all reasonable precautions in looking after you but you will be responsible for ensuring your children are looked after at all times.

Spaces are limited.

If you are interested in animal tours for younger children or for adults only do let us know. We use a sliding scale for the tickets for our events. This means that if you are in the position to, you can pay the £5 per person price. There is a Pay it Forward ticket that includes a contribution towards helping someone else join the event. If you are experiencing financial hardship or unable to pay full price there is a ‘Pay what you can’ option where you can enter the price you are able to pay. There is a child ticket for this too. All prices are set to cover the cost of staffing and upkeep of our animals. All our events are fundraisers and the profits made go into the running of the farm and to keep it free entry.

Thank you for your support.
