🐐 GOAT GROOMING

Help our goats get gorgeous for the Spring Fayre
New at this year’s Spring Fayre, this is your chance to get in with our goats! Farm favourites, the goats absolutely love a fuss (and food!) So come and give them both and you’ll be best friends in no time. Spaces are limited for this event and you will need to be over 6 years old to go in with the goats.

🌿NATURE WALK

Join expert Entomologist, Mike Williams, for a guided nature walk around the Farm’s fields!
Spring is springing and the birds are singing. Mike is a walking encyclopaedia when it comes to the natural world, so pull on some sturdy footwear and set off to learn all about the wild birds and beasts that call Bath City Farm’s fields, trees and hedgerows home. If you’re lucky, you might even get a fly-by from Mike’s friendly robin, Little Mate 🐦 This event is free to book (although donations are very welcome) but you will need a ticket as spaces are limited.

🪴COMPOSTING WORKSHOP

Learn how we make rich, sustainable compost here on the farm.

Jude, our Growing Lead, will explain the basics of composting, including why it’s so important, show you how to start or improve your own nutrient-rich compost at home, and give you a tour of the ways we compost the food waste and plant matter at the farm.

We consider the food waste, weeds and other plant matter a resource. We turn it all into nutrient-rich compost which is used in the market garden and polytunnels to grow more food – completing a circular system with the organic waste.
