Woodland Pollinator Garden Workshop (Free)

Join Jude our Community Grower and Conservation Coordinator in Kelston Copse at the farm to help us create a new Woodland Pollinator garden.

We have received funding from WECA Pollinator Fund to enhance the farm’s biodiversity and this new garden is one of the areas of work. Over time we will observe the life that visits the new planting, and hopefully propagate the plants that flourish, to sell in our wildflower nursery at the farm from mid-late 2024 onwards.

Tasks may involve clearing ivy and brambles from the new planting area and paths, creating a dead hedge, creating path edging and relevelling the access steps and path.

Adults and accompanied children 7+ are welcome to join too

A hot vegan lunch will be provided (usually soup and bread). The Farm’s Cafe will also be open and participants can purchase lunch with a 10% discount.

Please let us know if you have any allergies or accessibility needs.

There is a relatively flat, short walk to the location of the workshop (approx 5 minutes). Wheelbarrows will need to be pushed, and tools will need to be carried by participants – please let us know on the day if you are unable to lift or push tools.
