Festive fun at the farm

Thank you to all our guests who attended our annual Christmas Fare on Saturday 7th December. The atmosphere was rather magical, with lots of families, friends and children enjoying themselves. Santa certainly had a great time meeting you all. Because of your support you helped raised over £850 for the farm (materials and staffing costs have not been deducted from the total). So thank you for your kind generosity.

What was your favourite activity at our event? The marshmallow toasting? Wreath making? Biscuit decorating? Or Santa’s grotto with his friendly chickens? This year we tried something a little different by inviting local artist to sell their home made unique items for gifts. They had such a lovely range of decorations and small gifts that I ended up buying a couple for friends.

Thank you to all our volunteers who helped made the event success and for taking great care of our animals. The baby piglets were certainly a big highlight. If you would like to support the our charity you can ‘adopt an animal’ through our adopt an animal scheme. Our community café is now closed for winter but will re-open from the February half term, selling our popular selection of home made cakes and sausage rolls.

If you missed out on this event do not worry, we have lots of exciting activities for 2020. Follow us on Facebook to keep up-to-date with future events and updates on the farm.
